PART-TIME GARDENER JOB DESCRIPTION – MIDHURST AREA

Main responsibilities
Responsible for the overall management of the gardens to a private house, including the pool area, green house, pergola
Expanding responsibilities:
· Manage the grounds and work closely with the owners
· Organise and prioritize tasks
· Keep the owners informed of all garden work
· Manage garden work to encompass edging, weeding, pruning, planting, potting, trimming hedges, weeding the drive and foot paths, clearing fallen leaves, planting, maintaining and picking vegetables
· To assist in domestic (household) tasks if requested (providing vegetables, cut flowers and logs)
· Ensure grounds are securely fenced and controlled where necessary
· Maintain all tools and machinery, including servicing and fuelling
Estimated Labour Requirements (8am to 4pm with 1 hour for lunch)
January one day a month - 1
February two days a month - 2
March two days a month - 2
April two days a week - 10
May two days a week - 10
June two days a week - 10
July two days a week - 10
August two days a week - 10
September two days a week - 10
October one day a week - 5

Total: 74 days per annum
