The opportunity
We are currently seeking high achieving, motivated, and proven Senior Managers to join our Insurance Technology Transformation team, consulting with Top Tier insurance clients and working on projects focused on addressing their most significant challenges.
As a member of our Insurance Technology Transformation practice, you will work as part of our growing team to:
1. Lead the design and delivery of complex business and technology transformation projects on engagements for across our Specialty, General and Life & Pensions Insurance clients
2. Manage large cross-functional engagement teams and third parties
3. Liaise with service line teams, functional specialists and Area Partners
4. Leverage your own network and relationships to further enhance EY’s reputation in the market
5. Identify opportunities for new business and leading proposals and bids
6. Support the development of our thought leadership and market propositions to offer insight and innovation to our clients
7. Manage engagement profitability and meeting individual target revenues
8. Monitor EY internal operational activities (chargeability, billing, quality and risk management)
9. Support the growth, skills and diversity of our teams
10. Act as a career counsellor to a small team (1-5 people) and being involved in the recruitment process across graduates, executives and managers
Skills and attributes for success
11. Significant experience leading transformation projects within the GI, Specialty or Life & Pensions Insurance market, managing multi-workstream, cross-functional delivery
12. Significant experience of working in a client facing or consulting role
13. Strong track record in project delivery, with an ability to develop and deliver high quality output against project objectives and meet tight deadlines
14. Ability to lead successful teams to win and deliver complex projects
15. Experience of leading business development
16. Good understanding of the insurance value chain (including sales, distribution, customer management, underwriting, claims management, policy servicing and reinsurance)
17. Excellent client stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships
18. Intellectual strength, curiosity and flexibility to navigate ambiguous client requirements, question the status quo, rapidly understand complex problems and rationalise these into a workable solution
19. Flexibility to travel to, and work in, other locations is essential
To qualify for the role you must have (within Insurance)
20. Operational improvement experience – Experience in the design and development of new operating models including an understanding of how Digital Transformation, and the key applications and technology platforms that underpin this, is affecting Insurers, Brokers and other market participants within the Insurance industry
21. Business Transformation/ Technology Transformation experience – end-to-end business and technology-driven change through the full lifecycle (business case creation, Product and/or vendor selection, discovery, business requirements definition, design and implementation) with an understanding of testing, post go-live support and run
22. Revenue enhancement / distribution strategy experience, including market assessment, opportunity identification, channel dynamics – such as digital channels -and business planning
23. A demonstrable understanding of the Specialty, General or Life & Pension Insurance markets, commercial dynamics and change levers
24. The ambition to build / develop a career in advising insurance clients around operational improvement and revenue enhancement at EY
