The job itself
A lady in her 20s requires a support worker for 10 hours per week. This lady is a keen football fan and enjoys watching football. As with many autistic people she is totally fixated on it and will talk about it all day. She likes doing diamond painting and colouring. She does not go out anywhere except to work, her parents home or shopping with her mum.
This lady would like support with Budgeting and Finance so she has enough money to pay bills and to save, making sensible choices when shopping, and planning. Home related support with meal planning, shopping and cooking/following recipes. Prompts to change bedding, do washing regularly and put clothes away. Prompting to do cleaning, not clean for her but to support her to keep to a routine and support her to understand what needs to be done and when. Support is also required around her medication, reminders and ordering medication on time.
Experience working with Autism and ADHD preferred but not essential.
DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post - Cost to be met by the local authority.
