Your newpany
I am engaged on a project to recruit an Enterprise Architect to join a prominent major UK organisation operating within aplex, multi site environment. This is a newly shaped key senior architecture role, reporting directly into technology with a genuine opportunity to influence and transform a business, not just a department.
This role requires you to have your own transport and will be minimum of 1 day per week in their offices near Salisbury.
Your new role
This is a strategic, hands-on Enterprise Architect position where you’ll bridge business, technology and engineering to deliver clear, consistent architecture across asset management, workflow, booking, data and cloud platforms.
You’ll own the enterprise architecture vision and roadmap, define principles and standards, and lead a multidisciplinary Architecture and Engineering team. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll translate operational needs into coherent designs, oversee solution architecture and engineering quality, manage technical debt, ensure end to end architectural integrity and support vendor selection.
You’ll be responsible for a team of 15, working in an Agile Microsoft stack environment and will be responsible for the migration from on-prem to cloud within theing years. As part of the senior IT leadership team, you’ll help shape long-term technology strategy within aplex, mission-critical environment.
What you'll need to succeed
We’re seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect with broad domain coverage and a track record delivering in secure/structured environments (MOD/Defence beneficial rather than essential).
You must have experience managing teams and with 10+ direct reports and must have experience managing transition from on-premise to cloud (Azure).
Ideally you’ll have a background overseeing Software Engineering teams. They are Microsoft .Net Stack in-house. TOGAF certification, ITIL understanding and GIS exposure are all beneficial.
