The Role
We're looking for an experienced Panel Beater to join our skilled bodyshop team. You'll be responsible for repairing accident-damaged vehicles to OEM standards, working with the latest repair techniques, jigs, and measuring systems in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess accident damage and plan repair methods in line with manufacturer guidelines
* Remove, replace, and align panels, bumpers, wings, doors, and bonnets
* Carry out dent removal, panel straightening, welding, and bonding
* Use jig and measuring systems to ensure structural accuracy
* Prepare vehicles for paint (filling, sanding, priming)
* Work to job cards, repair times, and quality standards
* Liaise with Parts, Paint, and MET Technicians to ensure smooth workflow
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
* Complete work in line with manufacturer approvals and insurance estimating systems
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Proven experience as a Panel Beater in a dealership, accident repair centre, or bodyshop environment
* Strong skills in panel repair, welding (MIG/spot), bonding, and alignment
* Ability to work to manufacturer repair methods and OEM standards
* Confident using jigs, measuring equipment, and hand/power tools
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work efficiently to timescales without compromising standards
* Team player with a professional, can-do attitude
Desirable:
* ATA/IMI qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* Experience with specific manufacturer approvals (e.g., VW Group, BMW, PSA, JLR, etc.)
* Familiarity with Audatex, AudaEnterpriseGold, or similar estimating systems
* Aluminium repair experience
