Machine Operator / Production Operative
Location: Blackburn BB1
Hours: Shift pattern – 2 days 6am to 6pm, 2 nights 6pm to 6am, 4 days off
Axon Moore is working with a multiple award-winning manufacturing company based in Blackburn, who are currently looking for motivated and reliable Machine Operators to join their busy department. About the Role
As part of an experienced production team, you’ll operate machinery and help maintain high standards on the production line. The role demands a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to health and safety.
You will need to stay alert and focused at all times — there’s no room for complacency. The role involves working at height, so confidence in this area is essential, along with good eyesight. A sound knowledge of English and maths is also required. A willingness to learn and develop new skills is vital.
Training and Salary
• Training pay is £15.00 per hour, based on 42 hours per week (£675 weekly) – length of training depends on candidate
• Upon completion of training, pay increases to £16.03 per hour (circa £35,000 per annum)
Key Responsibilities
• Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
• Carrying out product and equipment checks, reporting any faults promptly
• Maintaining high levels of quality and safety on the line
• Following all procedures and guidelines carefully
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy
• Working well with your team to meet production targets
• Maintaining focus and demonstrating a positive attitude throughout your shift

• Good command of English and maths

• Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but not essential
