Job Description
Are you a qualified Environmental Health Officer? Would you like to work in a large diverse borough where you can broaden your experience whilst also making an impact to resident's lives? If so, we have got just the role for you in Ealing's expanding Environmental Health Team with one of the largest licensing schemes in London.
We are seeking highly motivated, passionate and experienced Environmental Health Officers/Practitioners. Successful candidates will have significant experience of undertaking HHSRS assessments and dealing with non-compliance through enforcement notices, issuing civil penalty notices and instigating prosecutions, and of using the range of enforcement options under relevant housing and public health legislation.

What you will be doing?
The successful candidate will be managing a varied caseload, inspecting properties to a professional standard, carrying out investigations, and interpreting and applying legislation relating to private sector housing.

The Council operates a hybrid model combining working home and from the office, taking a flexible approach to strike the right balance for officers and service delivery.

The post holders will be highly motivated, flexible individuals, with excellent customer service skills, able to communicate with people at different levels as appropriate. You will be working with and supporting other team members with complex cases.

Benefits include flexible, hybrid working, 25 days annual leave increasing to 28 days after 5 years and 31 days after 10 years of continuous Local Government service.
This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week on a permanent contract.
