Description
As Disturbia continues to grow, the need has arisen to hire an Assistant Merchandiser. You will be a key part of the Merchandising team to ensure the right product is in the right place, at the right time. You will help drive sales and profitability by analysing data, managing stock levels, and optimising product availability. Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Design, E-commerce, and Marketing teams, you will assist in trading and planning decisions to ensure the best possible customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales reporting on a daily and weekly basis, assisting with weekly trade analysis, and identifying key opportunities and risks, including suggestions for repeats, cancellations, and markdowns with implications on margin and profitability.
2. Weekly analysis on returns, sizing, and pricing.
3. Weekly analysis on global brand performance by region, country, and category, focusing on sales, stock, and on-order balance.
4. Propose actions to improve slow-performing stock, including markdowns and promotional activities.
5. Updating WSSIs and line card data regularly and supporting senior merchandiser with forecasting.
6. Working with buying team to maintain the critical path.
7. Maintaining range plans and business roll-ups, supporting purchase order maintenance.
8. Updating delivery schedules and forecasting business intake to meet targets across global DCs.
9. Preparing monthly and quarterly hindsight packs and feedback to influence business decisions.
10. Producing insightful historical analysis for strategy and range planning.
11. Supporting business data needs with strong cross-functional collaboration.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Excellent Excel skills and experience with reporting tools, line cards, WSSIs, trade reporting, and forecasting, with the ability to create action plans from analysis.
* Experience in a fast-paced, head office trading environment.
* Interest in fashion and passion for data and numbers.
* Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, work under pressure, and prioritize effectively.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Self-motivated, proactive problem solver.
* Excellent communication skills.
* At least 3 years of experience in a fashion retail head office, with some experience at Assistant Merchandiser level preferred.
