Overview
EYFS Teaching Assistant Milk Education are working with a primary school in Lowton (WA3) who are seeking a full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher in EYFS settings. This role starts immediately and is a temporary, long-term position until Friday 19th December 2025. The school is looking for someone who is caring, patient, nurturing and accommodating to all children's needs. The hours are 08:30am–15:30pm, Monday to Friday. The role involves supporting the class teacher in the day-to-day setup and running of the EYFS classroom, ensuring children are kept on task and learning to their full potential. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and providing a patient and nurturing learning environment for every child. You will also be supporting children with SEND whose additional needs range from Autism to Complex Needs.
Role & Responsibilities
* Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
* Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
* Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
* Deliver catch-up sessions
* Get resources ready for the day and maintain a patient and nurturing learning environment
Requirements
* Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people within the past two years
* Must have a passion for education
* Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
* Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
* Must be reliable and punctual
