Repton Manor Primary school is seeking a caring, motivated Learning Mentor with a focus on Speech and Language to join our supportive and inclusive team.
The successful candidate will work with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis to deliver targeted speech, language and communication interventions, helping to remove barriers to learning and promote confidence, independence and inclusion.
The role will involve:
* Delivering structured speech and language interventions under the guidance of the SENCo and class teachers
* Supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) in and out of the classroom
* Monitoring and recording progress against individual targets and support plans
* Working collaboratively with staff and external professionals, including Speech and Language Therapists
* Acting as a positive role model and supporting pupils’ social and emotional development
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children, ideally supporting speech, language or SEND needs
* Communicates clearly and sensitively with pupils and adults
* Is calm, patient, organised and enthusiastic
* Is committed to inclusion and improving outcomes for all learners
Experience or training in speech and language support is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
