The successful candidate will operate a planned, preventative, and safe maintenance service on all equipment on site.
Role
* Responsible for corrective, planned, and preventative maintenance tasks of production plant to minimise downtime
* Carry out predictive maintenance tasks and report on findings
* Maintain and implement planned maintenance schedules and routines for all equipment
* Ensure all plant and equipment is operationally safe and complies with relevant legislation
* Order plant parts as and when required
* Manage maintenance contractors onsite to ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental regulations
* Maintain a tidy and secure work environment
* Provide regular information to assist management with decision-making
* Maintain files and administration as required to comply with office processes and procedures
* Ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the maintenance department
Person
* Minimum 3 years' experience in plant maintenance, preferably within a heavy industry/engineering environment
* Hands-on approach, preferably with welding experience
* Capable of troubleshooting mechanical downtime issues and resolving problems to root cause
* Experience with a wide range of production plant
* Experience in maintenance task planning, scheduling, and recording
* Experience in electrical diagnostics/installs desirable
* Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances and business requirements
* Willing to undertake professional, organisational, and administrative duties efficiently and cost-effectively
* Capable of undertaking and/or assisting with mechanical tasks
