Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Event Manager to join our dynamic Global Events Team at The Events House. This role is pivotal in planning, coordinating, and executing a diverse range of live and experiential events. You will serve as the operational bridge between departments—including Accounts, Operations, Technical, and Branding—ensuring a unified approach to event strategy, execution, and client delivery.
As an Event Manager, you will be involved in end-to-end event planning and contribute to developing our team into subject matter experts (SMEs). Your leadership will influence our internal culture, client satisfaction, and service quality, while helping evolve departmental best practices and industry-leading activations.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Event Delivery: Lead planning, execution, and evaluation of events, ensuring alignment with client expectations and standards.
2. Cross-Departmental Leadership: Act as liaison across departments to synchronize planning, budgeting, branding, and logistics.
3. Budget & Financial Oversight: Manage event budgets and report on costs in collaboration with Accounts.
4. On-Site Leadership: Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, focusing on safety, coordination, and client experience.
5. Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
6. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout all phases.
7. Operational Systems & Tools: Use internal systems and Google Workspace tools for documentation and workflow management.
8. Team Mentorship & Development: Support team growth and promote an inclusive team culture.
9. Continuous Improvement: Produce reports and debriefs to inform future events.
10. Capacity Planning & Scalability: Assess departmental capacity to meet growing demands without compromising quality.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
* Minimum of 3 years in event management or project coordination.
* Knowledge of health and safety, risk management, and operational planning.
* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex timelines.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Comfortable in fast-paced environments with a solution-oriented approach.
* Proficiency in Google Workspace and familiarity with event management software.
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
* Full UK driving license.
