Purpose of the role/key responsibilities:
1. Managing and developing a portfolio of clients as well as providing assistance and support to others within the firm
2. Taking responsibility for the effective communication with clients and colleagues
3. Ensuring assignments are completed within agreed budgets
4. Reviewing of work prepared by other members of staff
5. Ensuring that the firms quality control procedures are adhered to
6. Ensuring the firms professional standards are met
7. Ensuring that work is presented to the partner in a complete and finalised format
8. Ensuring that draft fees are prepared in a timeous manner
9. Providing an efficient and pro-active service to clients and ensure that the clients needs are fully met
10. Identifying technical issues as well as selling opportunities to Partners of the firm
11. Participating in tenders/proposals for new work as required
12. Developing work from existing clients by working closely with Partners and staff of the firm
13. Participating in wider marketing and business development activities for the development of the Skill Group and the wider development of the firm
14. Attending networking events, etc. and developing professional relationships with clients, others within the firm, and with other local professional firms and potential clients.
15. Paying attention to self-development and continuing professional education
16. Consulting with colleagues and Partners on technical and risk matters.
17. To work as part of the management team and provide effective supervision to all members within the Corporate Services Skill Group
18. To support and work as a team player, whilst being able to work on own initiative
19. To assist in the provision of training to staff
20. To counsel, appraise, mentor, develop and motivate staff
Experience and skill set required for the role:
21. Professional qualification (CA, ACCA) or equivalent experience
22. Experience of key sectors such as Charities and Not-for-Profit organisations
23. Experience of managing and developing a client portfolio
24. Experience of coaching and mentoring colleagues
25. Good experience of business development
