We are seeking a Store Manager Designate who can excel in a demanding yet purposeful retail environment. You will receive comprehensive training in one of our stores, and later, support multiple stores within a designated district, which will involve travel. The role requires a natural ability to connect with teams and maximize their potential in a supportive and challenging way.
As a Store Manager Designate, you will:
1. Take overall accountability for your store and team, ensuring excellent customer experiences and maintaining high standards.
2. Provide strong leadership to foster a high-performance culture.
3. Be a positive role model and advocate for the co-op values.
4. Lead efforts to drive sales, memberships, and community engagement.
5. Oversee training, development, and performance management while remaining hands-on in the store when necessary.
6. Participate in social initiatives and volunteering to support your local community.
Flexible working options such as job sharing or part-time hours are available for the right candidate.
Who are we looking for?
Requirements for a Store Manager Designate include:
1. Driving license and access to a vehicle or good public transport links.
2. Experience in retail management, preferably in a food store setting.
3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams by example.
4. Customer-focused approach to deliver effective store experiences.
5. Commercial awareness and business acumen.
