About the Role

As a Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, inclusive education that enables all pupils to achieve their full potential. Working closely with the Head and wider leadership team, you will help secure excellent teaching, effective use of resources and consistently high standards of learning and achievement across the college.

This role is primarily for an English teacher but you will be required to cover other subjects when required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver high-quality teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with SEN, ensuring strong progress and positive outcomes
2. Teach a range of subjects as required to support effective delivery of the curriculum
3. Work in partnership with the Head to take on additional areas of responsibility that support curriculum delivery and college priorities
4. Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of SEN provision within the college
5. Support inclusive practice by working closely with families, external agencies and partners
6. Develop and apply effective teaching approaches, behaviour strategies, classroom practices and resources for pupils with complex needs and diagnoses

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people with special educational needs, within a supportive team committed to high standards, collaboration and continuous improvement.

About You

7. Qualified: UK QTS or equivalent, with a relevant degree
8. Experienced: Strong understanding of SEN, including ASC, learning difficulties, and complex needs
9. Compassionate & Resilient: Able to build trusting relationships with pupils who may have faced significant challenges
10. Collaborative: A clear communicator who thrives in a team environment
11. Creative & Flexible: You’ll need to adapt and innovate to meet individual needs
