About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Gardener to join our clients team on a temporary basis to help manage a seasonal peak in workload. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work outdoors in a variety of environments, contributing to the upkeep and beautification of community spaces across Swindon.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform general gardening maintenance to keep gardens healthy and attractive.
2. Operate and maintain pedestrian and ride-on mowing equipment safely and efficiently.
3. Undertake manual tasks such as bending, lifting, stretching, digging, and clearing to support garden upkeep.
4. Maintain pathways, borders, and gateway verges, ensuring all areas are tidy and well-presented.
5. Assist with the preparation and maintenance of flower beds, shrubs, and lawns.
6. Work collaboratively alongside the existing gardening team across various sites, including sheltered housing schemes.
7. Use hand tools and powered equipment responsibly, reporting any faults or maintenance needs promptly.
8. Monitor and report on the health of plants, pests, or disease issues, escalating concerns as necessary.
