Title: Store Manager

Function:
The Store Manager will create and maintain a positive and welcoming work environment and foster excellent customer relationships to motivate staff and achieve sales goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Create a pleasant work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
2. Ensure compliance with accounting, employee, and store policies.
3. Meet sales, production, and expense budget goals to ensure profitability.
4. Ensure all products are properly displayed on the sales floor.
5. Participate in hiring processes, including reviewing applications and conducting interviews, and recommend candidates for employment.
6. Conduct regular staff evaluations, identify performance strengths and areas for improvement, recommend training, and issue written warnings when necessary.
7. Hold monthly staff and safety meetings, ensuring safety policies align with organizational and legal standards.
8. Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage, including posting weekly schedules and managing time off requests.
9. Review and approve employee timecards and paid time off requests.
10. Order merchandise to keep the store stocked and ensure merchandise is properly organized according to the calendar.
11. Provide training and supervision for new and existing staff as needed.
12. Manage cash receipts and safeguard funds, adhering to organizational policies.
13. Complete and submit sales reports and administrative paperwork daily.
Additional Responsibilities
1. Report site visits, inspections, and safety issues to the Administrator.
2. Verify inspector credentials and maintain communication regarding compliance issues.
3. Attend management meetings and communicate policies to staff.
4. Protect store property and report damages or hazards.
5. Support work therapy programs by exemplifying professional conduct.
6. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Experience in sales.
* Leadership and management skills.
* Ability to interpret income and expense reports.
* Good communication skills.
* Valid driver’s license with an acceptable DMV record.
