By processing and accurately managing SIPP pension investments, Hartley Pensions offers a highly rewarding opportunity for a professional dedicated to providing an exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
* Process client instructions, including prompt execution of requests from members or advisers such as administering disinvestments from third‑party platforms while ensuring accurate asset valuation before liquidating funds back into the SIPP.
* Obtain accurate valuations of all assets within the SIPP and produce detailed reports to HMRC as part of clients’ draw‑down requests.
* Provide updates to colleagues, clients and financial intermediaries on issues affecting benefits requests and tax‑free entitlements, and report any unauthorised investments to the team lead or senior management as required.
* Liaise with pension schemes and operators to obtain necessary pension information, proactively investigate non‑standard assets, and work with the Tranche 6 department on reporting.
* Supply accurate reporting of investment information to Hartley’s Transfers Out department, communicating if a member holds investments, property or non‑standard assets within their SIPP.
* Fulfil other reasonable requirements of the firm, including assisting in clearing backlogs and helping colleagues in other departments with ad‑hoc administrative requests.
About You
* Prior experience in SIPP administration or at a SIPP operator is essential; the role is not entry‑level and requires immediate competency.
* Foundational knowledge of the commercial marketplace, pension legislation and tax regulations around annual allowances and tax‑free entitlements; preferred experience with non‑standard assets.
* High accuracy and meticulousness in handling sensitive tax‑privileged funds, with a strong emphasis on investment reporting and execution of client‑led instructions.
* Adherence to GDPR regulations and the privacy and appropriate handling of sensitive client data.

* Experience and competency in bespoke SIPP/SSAS administration platforms, particularly Delta Platinum Pro and SIPP Pro, and core Microsoft tools such as Word and Excel.
What we Offer
* A highly competitive rate within the top 10% of employers in the industry.
* A meaningful impact by assisting the business through a crucial transitional period.
* Hybrid working: up to 2 days from home a week after successful completion of training and where business needs permit.
