About the role:
We are looking for a reliable, professional Class 2 Lorry Driver to join our removals operation, specialising in long-distance UK work and European removals.
This role involves regular nights away, multi-day European trips, and working closely with a porter to deliver high-quality moves for our customers across the UK and Europe.
If you are comfortable with international driving, take pride in your work, and are happy spending time on the road, this is a stable, long-term role with a growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Driving Class 2 vehicles across the UK and Europe
* Carrying out long-distance and multi-day European/UK trips
* Assisting with loading and unloading where required
* Ensuring loads are secured correctly and safely
* Completing vehicle checks and defect reporting
* Managing tachograph and drivers' hours compliance
* Representing the company professionally at all times
* Working as part of a two-person removals crew
European Work:
* Regular European driving (including ferry crossings and multi-country routes)
* Full training provided on European removals procedures and customs paperwork
* Initial European trips completed alongside experienced drivers
* Nights away and time abroad are a normal part of the role
What we're looking for:
* Full Class 2 licence
* Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
* Comfortable with long-distance driving and nights away
* Good understanding of drivers' hours and compliance
* Calm, professional attitude with customers
* Previous European driving experience preferred but not essential
* Valid passport required (or willing to obtain one)
* Be flexible in working locally and not being required to be overnight and then being able to complete trips away when required.
* The role isn't guaranteed to be working away all week every week as we're a local moving company as well, the trips away are just as and when required.
