Let’s take it on
We are looking for an exceptional leader to join our dynamic and growing business; motivating, challenging, and developing the Bristol Regional Service Centre team to be the best they can be.
Next is one of the biggest and best-known online and high street retailers in the UK. Our operation includes a state-of-the-art warehousing and logistics business employing over 9,000 people across our network, with ambitious growth plans.
Our Regional Service Centre network is crucial to meet increasing demand and customer expectations. It’s a fast-paced environment where teams must adapt and innovate constantly.
You’ll be joining a business that pushes boundaries and pioneers the way. Despite changes over the last four decades, our strong people culture, built around core company values, remains constant.
About the role:
The Regional Service Centre Manager oversees the safe and efficient operation of the Bristol site. You will align the RSC’s vision and objectives with the Company’s strategy and develop operational plans for upcoming seasons. The role involves substantial budget responsibility and managing a team of over 150 staff across warehousing and transport. You will ensure delivery of the right product, at the right time, every time, at optimal cost, continually seeking performance improvements.
We seek someone with proven ability to build strong relationships with operational management, external suppliers, and customers. You should demonstrate exceptional leadership, planning, and decision-making skills to meet service levels, proactively resolving potential issues.
Collaborating with the RSC General Manager and other managers, you will share best practices and ideas for continuous improvement. Effective people management is essential to drive performance and empower your team, including direct management of Warehouse and Transport Assistant Site Managers who oversee large teams.
About you:
You are a strong, positive leader capable of managing multiple projects, priorities, and people. Motivated and visionary, you can see the bigger picture and lead change effectively.
With significant management experience in retail and online distribution, you hold a Transport Management CPC and have a proven track record of leading large teams of over 100 members.
