About the Role

SAMH has an exciting opportunity with this new role. The Workplace Facilities and Safety Manager will provide both strategic and operational leadership across SAMH to ensure we have properties (workplaces or service delivery sites) which are safe, functional, efficient and where workplace wellbeing is central to property design or maintenance. This role will have accountability for building refurbishment and maintenance in excess of £1M over 5 owned properties and a facilities procurement budget, providing an opportunity for an ambitious and highly skilled professional.

This is a new senior role which requires to be visible across all SAMH sites, working collaboratively with wider management and leadership teams to identify property, facilities or health & safety opportunities and resolve the current challenges. The role will develop short and long term plans to ensure modern and creative solutions; so SAMH people can be productive in their roles and enabled to achieve the SAMH plans.

What we are looking for

This person will be a highly skilled professional in the area of facilities and property management. We are looking for someone who is ambitious, driven, enthusiastic, pragmatic and forward thinking; someone who can make an immediate impact. This role will be based in Glasgow, with some option for hybrid/remote working. The post-holder will also be required to undertake key holder duty for select owned properties, if required in case of emergency, and also to travel to sites across Scotland. Therefore a full driving license would be preferable.

What we will provide for you

You will work in a supportive environment and will be provided with full induction and training opportunities. You will be given the chance to develop your knowledge and skills, as well as develop professionally. Some of our benefits include;

* 2 paid wellbeing days off per year to use on what matters to you.
* Team wellbeing budgets
* Funded continuous learning and development opportunities, access to over 100 courses online in addition to classroom and virtual training sessions
* 30 days annual leave rising to 33 after 5 years’ service
* 4 public holidays
