As a Copart Vehicle Image Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for preparing reports for insurance companies. Your duties include reviewing documents related to vehicle damage, information, and images, and making necessary amendments.
You will conduct market research to determine the vehicle's market value, considering factors such as mileage, previous damage, HPI data, and other relevant information. You will assign salvage categories according to the ABI Code of Practice and company guidelines.
You must adhere to our Service Level Agreements and follow established processes. Training on our internal report-writing systems will be provided.
This position is remote, allowing you to work from home, with occasional attendance at our Head Office or Operation Centre.
Requirements:
* Membership or willingness to enroll in professional bodies such as MIMI, IAEA, or IRTE; familiarity with insurance claims procedures.
* Ability to interpret vehicle damage and use repair estimating systems.
* Experience with motor vehicles, damage assessment, and repair methods.
* Knowledge of VDA and estimation/valuation tools like Glass’, CAP, Audatex, and HPI.
* Understanding of legal vehicle roadworthiness requirements under the Road Traffic Act.
* Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
