We're now looking for an Operations Manager to lead and develop our cross‑dock team, driving performance, safety and engagement across the night operation.
✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
* Lead the cross‑dock operation across transport and warehousing, managing a night‑shift team of 70 colleagues through a Shift Manager
* Own operational performance, budgets and KPIs, ensuring productivity, service and cost targets are consistently achieved
* Drive a strong Safety First culture, leading incident reviews, ensuring compliance with SOPs/WIs, and embedding Behaviour‑Based Safety
* Manage people processes including engagement, performance reviews, absence management and disciplinary actions
* Act as the primary customer contact, building strong relationships while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence
✅THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
* Proven experience in a similar operations management role within a transport, warehouse or cross‑dock environment
* Demonstrated people management experience at a comparable level, leading managers and large operational teams
* Experience working within a multi‑customer operation, with strong customer and stakeholder management capability
* Strong commercial and financial awareness, with experience of budget management and cost control preferred
* Start‑up or change‑management experience desirable, with the ability to build, stabilise and improve operations
