About Digital Transit
Digital Transit Ltd is a UK-based technology company advancing the state of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), and safety assurance in operational technology (OT) environments. Our work supports major transport and energy infrastructure owners, including Network Rail, London Underground, MTR Hong Kong, and LTA Singapore. We are the creators of CyRail, an AI-enabled platform for cybersecurity compliance, training, and assurance in critical systems.
We are now expanding our presence in Lancaster, and we are seeking an early-career engineer to grow with us.
The Role
We are looking for a Graduate OT Cybersecurity Engineer, based in or near Lancaster, to support the ongoing development of CyRail and related R&D activities. This role is ideal for a technically capable graduate with interests in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and engineering systems.
You will apply large language models (LLMs) and other AI methods to analyse engineering and cybersecurity artefacts such as system drawings, zone and conduit models, risk assessments, and assurance cases. You will also support our work in model-based systems engineering (MBSE), using tools like Enterprise Architect.
Key Responsibilities
* Use AI/LLMs to interpret and assess cybersecurity artefacts, including:
* OT network diagrams, drawings, and conduit models
* Security requirements and control frameworks
* Risk assessments and cybersecurity cases
* Assist in the development of our CyRail platform, particularly its compliance and training modules
* Support model-based engineering using SysML and tools such as Enterprise Architect
* Work collaboratively with engineers and cybersecurity experts to deliver client-focused solutions
* Contribute to research projects and the development of technical training material
About You
You will be a recent graduate with strong technical skills, based in Lancaster or the surrounding area. You’ll be comfortable working with engineering documentation, AI tools, and cybersecurity frameworks—and eager to contribute to real-world infrastructure challenges.
* A BSc, MSc, or MEng in:
* Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Systems, Electrical or Electronic Engineering
* Strong interest in AI, OT cybersecurity, and infrastructure assurance
* Familiarity with large language models and emerging AI tools
* Interest in MBSE methodologies and tooling (e.g. SysML, Enterprise Architect)
* Resident in or near Lancaster with ability to attend our local site regularly
* Knowledge of cybersecurity or systems engineering standards (IEC 62443, TS 50701, EN 50126)
* Python or AI toolchain familiarity
* Experience with or awareness of transport, rail, or energy systems
* Interest in simulation, digital twins, or safety-critical software
What We Offer
* A rare opportunity to join a growing SME working at the forefront of AI and cybersecurity
* Contribution to high-impact national and international projects
* Support for professional registration and CPD
* Hybrid working options for local staff
* Exposure to real-world OT systems, clients, and operational deployments
