Overview
Category Manager - Cloud & Information Security Procurement at WTW. The Category Manager for the Cloud & InfoSec categories will support procurement across cyber security and cloud operations. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies related to end user & collaboration services. Knowledge of how global software licensing works and experience/background specifically in information security or cloud migration is essential to meet business and stakeholder needs. A strong knowledge of wider major Technology providers is also desired.
You must have experience in building and maintaining key business stakeholder relationships within the category and serve as a trusted advisor and partner for them on information security and cloud maturity related matters for WTW. The Category Manager for Cloud & InfoSec will support the Head of Enterprise Technology Procurement with relevant category planning for the business.
The successful candidate will also have a creative and positive approach to problem solving and a strong collaborative approach with other team members and stakeholders. A strong, analytical mindset with a meticulous approach to reporting and a willingness to learn and develop will be key to being successful in this role.
The scope of the role also requires you to create and maintain up to date category plans and provide key monthly and ad hoc reporting as required and requested by your line manager. In addition, you will work closely with the Procurement operations and analytics teams to review and assess spend data and spend trends. Experience in negotiating large projects is desirable. This role will require you to work on multiple large and complex projects simultaneously and will suit those with a “get it done” mentality.
Responsibilities
* Management of procurement activities including sourcing, commercial negotiations, and project management for Cloud & InfoSec with the aim to mitigate risks and achieve intended financial outcomes
* Accountable for management and delivery of projects including renewals, consolidations of existing relationships and other sourcing activities
* Provide guidance and manage escalations on those individual efforts
* Maintain relationships with colleagues on the Category Management team, internal stakeholders, as well as suppliers
* Put the interests of WTW, clients and integrity at the heart of the way you do business
* Leverage vendor relationships through negotiation to ascertain best-in-class products/services while reducing total cost of ownership, with a proven track record of year-on-year delivery
* Provide leadership of high-profile sourcing initiatives as required
Qualifications
* Strong work experience in technology procurement
* Experience/knowledge in Cloud computing procurement
* Experience/knowledge in procurement of cyber security software, related products and reporting platforms
* Experience in supplier negotiations
* Strong relationship building skills and ability to communicate complex ideas
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Creativity to seek, encourage and find non-traditional approaches to procurement challenges
* Change management and self-awareness skills to adopt targeted approaches to a dynamic set of stakeholders
* Ability to articulate Procurement’s value, specifically as a Procurement business partner
* Knowledge of complex sourcing and procurement principles and best practices
* Industry procurement knowledge
* Legal contract knowledge and negotiation experience
* Familiarity with relevant legislative, regulatory requirements, and industry standards as well as understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risk and ensure compliance
