We are partnering with a rapidly scaling technology business seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to support the company through its next phase of growth. This is a high-impact leadership role within a dynamic, investor-backed environment where pace, commercial thinking, and strategic execution are critical.
The business is experiencing significant growth and requires an accomplished finance leader who can bring immediate value across finance operations, strategic planning, and stakeholder management.
Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the leadership team and investors, the Interim Finance Director will take ownership of the finance function while helping shape the company’s commercial and operational strategy.
Key responsibilities:
* Leading and developing the finance function in a fast-paced growth environment
* Delivering robust financial reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management
* Supporting strategic decision-making through insightful commercial analysis
* Driving budgeting, planning, and performance management processes
* Preparing the business for future investment, fundraising, or transaction activity
* Improving financial controls, systems, and operational processes
* Partnering with senior stakeholders across the business to support scaling initiatives
* Managing external relationships including auditors, banks, investors, and advisors
* Supporting potential M&A activity, integrations, or international expansion where applicable
We are seeking a commercially minded finance leader with strong experience operating within high-growth technology or PE/VC-backed businesses.
About you:
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven experience as a Finance Director or senior finance leader within a technology-led business
* Strong background in scaling businesses through periods of rapid growth and change
* Experience working within investor-backed, PE-backed, or VC-backed environments
* Excellent commercial acumen and strategic finance capability
* Ability to operate hands-on while also contributing at board level
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Experience improving finance processes, systems, and controls
* Immediate or short-notice availability preferred
