An established and highly regarded specialist in bespoke joinery and high-end interior fit-out is seeking a motivated Junior to Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The Role:
You’ll support the Commercial and Project Teams in managing costs across multiple joinery and fit-out projects, from tender stage through to final account. You'll gain exposure to bespoke packages, liaise closely with the production team, and develop your understanding of high-spec materials, finishes, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the preparation of tenders, budgets, and cost plans
Reviewing drawings and specifications to assess scope of works
Measuring and quantifying joinery elements from architectural drawings
Assisting in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
Valuing completed works and preparing interim and final valuations
Supporting the negotiation and agreement of variations and final accounts
Maintaining project documentation and assisting in cost reporting
Attending site visits and meetings as required
Liaising with internal design, workshop, and project management teams
Requirements:
1–4 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role (preferably within joinery, interiors, or fit-out)
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Confident communicator with good organisational skills
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating or QS software is advantageous
