Prospero Teaching is seeking individuals to work as cover supervisors across various schools in Leeds, on a full-time or part-time basis.
This is a front-of-class approach! Strong behaviour management + SEN experience are desired for this role; however, no teaching requirements are specifically required!
Prospero Teaching works with both inexperienced cover supervisors and experienced cover supervisors!
You will be covering diverse year groups from KS3-KS4 and across various subject areas! A great position for someone with casual availability or someone who has future desires to become a teacher!
Role specifics:
* Supervising the classroom in the absence of the teacher and managing student behaviour
* Ensuring all students are engaged with the lesson material
* Taking individualised approaches with students to ensure trust
* Collaborating and supporting other staff members
* Assigning and collecting assignments
* Maintain organisation for when the class teacher returns
* Completing the register
COVER SUPERVISOR CONTACT DETAILS:
* Location – Various locations across Leeds
* Position – Cover Supervisors
* Type of work – Cover Supervisors – day-to-day contract or long-term
* Duration / Likely Duration – Day to day

* Full-time/part-time – Full-time or part-time
* Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £85 per day
* Hours – 8:30 am – 4 pm (full day), half day (am or pm), individual lesson cover
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* University degree or A Levels or GCSE (math and English above C)
* Previous experience working in a UK school desired
* Previous experience working with SEN desired
* Current Safeguarding training and Prevent training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years
