Croydon
John Whitgift Foundation
Duty manager
Posted: 17 November
Offer description

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Sports Club Duty Manager and Sports Coach to support the Sports Club management team in running our busy, year-round Sports Club. In this dual role, you will help oversee the daily operation of our popular sports facilities, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-quality experience for all members. Alongside your management duties, you will also contribute to our coaching programme, supporting the PE department during games afternoons, co-curricular training sessions, and fixtures. We welcome applications from candidates with experience in at least one of our major sports — Cricket, Football, Hockey, Netball, or Rugby — whether through playing or coaching. Experience within the leisure or sports industry is also desirable. If you are energetic, organised, and passionate about sport, we would love to hear from you. We are a diverse community at Trinity and strongly encourage applications from teaching and support staff from a range of backgrounds. To enable us to make any reasonable adjustments, please let us know when you submit your application whether you have any special requirements. The Company Trinity is one of three schools governed by the Whitgift Foundation, founded in 1596 by the then Archbishop of Canterbury, John Whitgift. Trinity’s academic results regularly place it among the top schools in the country. In 2022 Trinity was ranked 23rd in the Parent Power list of Top 100 Independent Schools in the UK and 13th in London, making it the top-ranked independent school in Croydon. Beyond academic results, we celebrate intellectual curiosity and foster a culture in which pupils feel inspired to take a genuine interest in the world around them. Exceptional staff is fundamental to our mission and we look forward to welcoming outstanding candidates to join our team. Trinity School reserves the right to interview and appoint before the published closing date. Trinity strongly encourages applications from ethnic minority candidates. 42% of our students are from ethnic minority backgrounds and we want to have a staff body that reflects the diversity of the school and our local area. Trinity School is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All applicants will be required to comply with all safeguarding procedures including an Enhanced DBS check. Our Values At Trinity our focus is on leading through values; on the kind of young people that our students become through being at Trinity, with day-to-day school experiences and a love of learning shaping them before they move on to extraordinary futures.
