Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Hours: Full-time
Contract: Fixed-term (February 2026 – Summer 2026)

We are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child with high SEND needs in a welcoming primary school in the DN17 area.
The Role:
This is a 1:1 role supporting a pupil with complex needs. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to provide tailored support to help the child access learning, develop independence, and feel safe and supported in school.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day

Implement strategies outlined in the child’s EHCP
*
Support learning, communication, and social development
*
Assist with personal care where required
*
Maintain a calm, inclusive, and nurturing environment
