Overview
We are looking for a Head of Boarding to play a key role in our boarding community. This is a role central to life at the School. The successful candidate will be responsible for the pastoral care and welfare of each boarder and must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and a very caring disposition. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our boarding provision at a time of growth and investment.
Responsibilities
* Lead the pastoral care and welfare of boarders, ensuring exceptional interpersonal and communication support.
* Shape the boarding experience and support the school’s vision to expand boarding.
* Work closely with the Admissions team to ensure a seamless experience for prospective and current boarders, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment within the boarding house.
* Promote a boarding ethos of kindness, community, and mutual support; supervise and develop boarding staff and routines.
* Ensure safe, caring and inclusive residential provision within the school grounds, including coordination with safeguarding policies.
* Collaborate with families, pupils and staff to maintain strong communication links and a sense of belonging.
* Be the first point of contact for boarders and their families, providing exceptional pastoral care and timely communication with parents.
