Job Purpose and work duties
Job purpose:
To support my child within the home or outdoors environment, accessing social opportunities within the community and to help him achieve maximum personal benefit from his everyday life.
Work Duties will include:
● Local social activities such as trips to the park or swimming.
● Helping them to develop social skills, going to the library.
● Assist in activities of daily living like dressing, toileting and bathing.
● Household cleaning and tidying of any areas after you have used with him, if necessary (i.e. cleaning the bath/shower after use).
● Taking him to soft play sessions.
● Taking him swimming.
● Taking him shopping and outdoors.
● To always keep him safe as he does not recognise danger.
● Playing with him in the home environment and garden, if no outdoor activity is planned
Other requirements
● Establishing and maintaining effective communication with the child and their parents, maintaining confidentiality.
● Always ensuring the safety of the child.
● Changing nappies but also helping him go to the toilet, as he is in the process of being toilet trained.
● Laundry – washing / drying of any items directly associated with my child if necessary.
Requirements for applicant (include any specialised training if required)
● Imagination in relation to activities to undertake
● Flexible, reliable and honest
● Understanding of autism essential
● Full driving license with business insurance within your policy ● DBS Check will be completed
Location – Dartford, Kent
Number of PA roles available - 1
£12.21 per hour
Term Time – 4 hours
Non-Term Time - 6 hours
