Personal Tax Consultant
Location: Wimborne, Dorset Salary: £27,000 – £34,000 (DOE) Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities
11. Manage your own client portfolio: Prepare personal tax returns for individuals, HNWIs, sole traders, landlords, and other clients.
12. Deliver expert tax advice: Support clients with matters such as buy‑to‑let properties, foreign income, residency, and Capital Gains Tax.
13. Act as a trusted advisor: Liaise with clients and HMRC, handling tax enquiries and resolving queries.
14. Ensure compliance excellence: Produce accurate and timely Self Assessment Tax Returns.
Required
15. Minimum two years’ experience in a personal tax role within practice
16. Strong understanding of UK personal tax compliance
17. Exposure to advisory areas such as CGT, BTL, EMI shares, and sole traders
18. Commercial awareness and a client‑first mindset
19. Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
20. Proficiency with tax software (ideally IRIS) and Microsoft Office
Preferred (Not Essential)
21. ATT qualified or part‑qualified (CTA also welcomed)
22. Experience working with Trusts
23. Experience mentoring junior team members
