What You'll Do
This position is required to actively support the plant's goals by deploying skills in the areas of supply chain management, that will lead to sustained improvements in performance within the Strangers Integrated Product Team. As part of the Aftermarket value stream strategy, works within the IPT to drive sales and profitability, by supporting the improvement of the stranger management and stranger supply processes
* Categorizes parts and RFQs to identify quick wins vs. long-term opportunities, aligning with IPT to prioritize based on risk, resources, schedule, sales, and profit.
* Collaborates with engineering and operations to determine in-house vs. outsourced manufacturing.
* Partners with commodity teams and SCM experts to identify suitable suppliers.
* Coordinates RFQ development, including MOQs, pricing, and terms.
* Manages RFQ process, evaluates supplier responses, and supports long-term agreement negotiations.
* Works with Pune Centre of Excellence to place POs and ensure delivery.
* Provides performance metrics and data to support IPT objectives.
* Analyzes ERP data and prepares reports to optimize supplier material delivery.
* Supports IPT and Aftermarket Value Stream tier reviews.
* Ensures compliance with export regulations.
* Updates MRP parameters to reflect active supply status post-sourcing.
* Coordinates with commercial and quality teams to secure sourcing approvals and documentation.
Qualifications
* Ideally have recognised operational qualifications such as CIPS or recognised operational qualifications such as
* HNC in manufacturing, quality, or procurement.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Thorough knowledge/understanding of complex MRP systems
