An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Practitioner to join our Community Mental Health Team based in Welshpool.
Relocation package of up to £8,000 is available for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide specialist assessment, treatment, and care to a caseload of individuals with severe and enduring mental health difficulties within the community.
The successful candidate will deliver care in accordance with the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010, the Social Services and Well-Being (Wales) Act 2014, and the Mental Health Act (1983).
We seek someone who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory partners.
Effective communication, engagement skills, a current evidence-based knowledge, and a commitment to a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed approach are essential.

Qualifications
* Registered Mental Health Professional, registered with the relevant professional body
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* Extensive knowledge of mental health issues
* Advanced knowledge of mental health legislation, law, and practice
* Knowledge of research-based and evidence-based interventions
* Advanced knowledge of care and treatment planning
* Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 relevant to community psychiatric care
* Understanding of clinical governance
* WARRN qualification
* CBT or Psycho-Social Interventions qualification
* Evidence of personal development or a specialist practitioner award
* Teaching and assessing qualification
Experience
* Understanding of community and multidisciplinary work
* Experience working with severely mentally ill clients in a community setting
* Supervising and developing junior staff
* Willingness to meet travel requirements
* Interest in gaining experience with mental health disorders in community settings
* Understanding of the workings of the CMHT

Salary: £39,263 to £47,280 per annum (pro-rata if part-time).
