Night Shift |High Risk Oven Operative | 4 on, 4 off
6pm – 6am
An opportunity has arisen for an Oven Operative in High Risk to join our night shift team, here at Yorkshire Baker, working from 6pm until 6am, 4 on, 4 off.
The main purpose of this role is to ensure products are cooked on correct programs and to correct temperatures.
Main duties include (but not limited to):
1. Under the guidance of the Cooking & Cooling Supervisor/Shift Manager, ensure that each product specification is followed and any anomalies are reported immediately
2. To ensure the achievement of the daily production plan and communicate shortfalls and problems to the relevant person in a timely manner
3. To work in a safe and time effective manner in accordance with health and safety standards and ensuring food safety, hygiene and quality standards are achieved at all times.
4. To Inform the Cooking & Cooling Supervisor/Shift/High Risk Manager QA/Technical Department of any problems during cooking whilst adhering to procedures, rules and processes set out by production management and other key functions
5. To understand the importance of ensuring all statutory (industry guidelines), legal food safety & customer requirements are met.
6. To ensure quality standards defined by the customer are achieved
7. Keep the work area clean and tidy and free from debris and waste so as to reduce the risk of accident, and to operate within food safety and hygiene regulations of the site.
