Job Title: Branch Assistant
Location: Friends Helping at Home Merseyside (remote and in-person locations in Liverpool)
Hours: 10 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Contract Type: Fixed-term, 3 months
Reports To: Branch Director
Purpose of Role
To support the daily operations of the branch, ensuring smooth administration, client engagement, and helper (Independent Service Provider) coordination. This role will provide essential experience and training with the expectation that the successful candidate may progress to Branch Manager (minimum 30 hours per week) at the end of the initial term.
The initial term is for 3 months at 10 hours/week, however, the hours can be reviewed on a monthly basis until progression to the full time Branch Manager role.
Key Responsibilities
Administration: Maintain accurate records of clients, helpers, referrals, and vetting documentation.
Client Support: Assist with new client enquiries, onboarding, and follow-ups.
Care Professional Support: Track vetting progress, availability, and visit logs.
Marketing Support: Help coordinate social media updates, community engagement, and promotional materials.
Reporting: Assist the Branch Director with weekly reports on hours delivered, client satisfaction, and branch performance.
Development: Shadow the Branch Director in meetings, with a view to managing branch operations independently.
Person Specification
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Confidence with IT systems (email, spreadsheets, simple CRM tools).
* Professional, approachable, and able to work with discretion.
* Interest in progressing into a management position.
* Previous experience in admin, customer service, or care coordination desirable but not essential.
* Driving is essential to get to client consultations and emergency shift cover
