Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with expertise in TIG welding, stick weld and sheet metal work. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to effectively use hand tools and power tools. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in assembling components and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
* Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques to fabricate metal components.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools for assembly and fabrication tasks.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production.
* Conduct quality inspections of finished products to meet industry standards.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.
* Assist in the assembly of various components, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
Experience
* Proven experience in welding, particularly TIG welding, is essential(minimum 5 years).
* Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques is highly desirable.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment related to fabrication.
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to projects.
