Our care home, nestled in the picturesque town of Dartmouth in Devon, provides exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 79 residents, offering a serene and supportive environment where quality care meets coastal charm.
We’re seeking a Housekeeping Assistant who will make a tangible difference in the lives of our residents by creating a clean and welcoming environment that supports their well-being. Your attention to detail and commitment to high hygiene standards will be crucial in maintaining a pleasant living space. What You Will Do
You will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the care home are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. This includes cleaning floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, and sanitary areas, as well as managing waste disposal in accordance with safety and infection prevention protocols. You will also support laundry services, ensuring clothing and bedding are handled, labelled and returned correctly. As part of your role, you will help new residents settle into their surroundings and contribute to a calm, safe, and welcoming atmosphere throughout the home. You’ll work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for everyone.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in a cleaning, housekeeping or laundry role is desirable
Understanding of infection control and health and safety procedures
A good level of attention to detail and pride in high standards
Friendly, approachable attitude and a team player mindset
Compassion and respect for older people and their living spaces
