About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that help pupils develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key responsibilities include:
* Teaching Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5)
* Planning and delivering engaging and practical lessons
* Supporting pupils in understanding complex physical concepts
* Monitoring and assessing pupil progress through regular assessments
* Preparing pupils for GCSE and/or A-Level examinations
* Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning
* Supporting intervention programmes to raise attainment
* Participating in extracurricular STEM activities and science enrichment opportunities
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
* Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Have strong subject knowledge in Physics
* Be confident teaching across multiple key stages
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
* Be passionate about science education and pupil achievement
* Have the ability to motivate pupils of varying abilities
