Overview
The Theatre Manager will play a central role in managing the planning, coordination and technical delivery of the busy theatre programme. It’s an excellent opportunity to develop a wide range of disciplines; from managing all production requirements including equipment, theatre spaces and health and safety, to line managing production support staff and contractors, as well as overseeing maintenance, refurbishments and upgrades. You will also support the education and supervision of pupils developing their drama skills and collaborate with internal departments, suppliers and external organisations.

Responsibilities
* Manage the planning, coordination and technical delivery of the busy theatre programme, including equipment, theatre spaces and health and safety.
* Line manage production support staff and contractors; oversee maintenance, refurbishments and upgrades.
* Support the education and supervision of pupils developing their drama skills; collaborate with internal departments, suppliers and external organisations.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external organisations to deliver productions.
* Ensure compliance and safety across the theatre operations.
Qualifications
* Proven track record of working in a theatre venue at managerial level on artistic events.
* Significant experience in theatre production and a high level of knowledge of sound and technical equipment.
* Ability to create a supportive and stretching environment for your team and students, to maximise the potential and support Harrow School’s drama programme.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, tactful, approachable manner and ability to positively influence others and build professional relationships at all levels of seniority.
* Good understanding of the theatre’s creative and technical processes; ability to recommend practical ways of working that minimise risk and manage finances/resources effectively.
Contract
* Contract length: Permanent
* Working weeks: Full time, all year round
* Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, to be worked flexibly according to the needs of the Ryan Theatre, including evenings and weekends
