Platform Automation Engineer

As a member of the Digital Factory Platform team, the Platform Automation Engineer is responsible for development of automation strategy, roadmap, KPI's, standards and practices for the platform and agile product teams. This is in support of the transformation towards fully automated testing & deployments for our application teams, as part of a wider GT transformation project. Leveraging solutions and services delivered by Platform team, the Platform Engineer will help drive adoption of Cloud and DevSecOps tooling throughout the organization.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
1. Define the Platform automation (DevSecOPs ) strategy, roadmap, KPI's, standards and practices for the platform and agile product teams
2. Assess Product team requirements and propose automation solutions
3. Experience in implementing release automation frameworks ( branching strategies / release deployment strategies – Blue-Green/Canary ,rolling)using tools such as Azure DevOps, Harness ,Jenkins, Git,JFrog ,Docker ,Kubernetes and OpenShift.
4. Provide hands-on assistance with automated embedded security testing(Static application security testing ,SCA & Dynamic application security testing)
5. Mentor and collaborate with the Product Scrum teams on automation best practices
6. Implement containerization using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes, ensuring scalability and portability of Salesforce applications.
7. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) scripts using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for the automated provisioning of Salesforce environments.
8. Implement and enforce security compliance checks within the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements
9. Own and lead the design and implementation of automation frameworks
10. Create and run automation training /overview sessions
11. Delivering CI CD pipeline templates for reuse
12. Regularly assess and enhance the DevSecOps processes to improve efficiency, security, and overall development practices.
13. Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in the DevSecOps space.
14. Knowledge of Selenium, JIRA ,Rest Assured, SonarQube, CheckMarx,JFROG X Ray & Qualys

15. Comprehensive understanding of Automation frameworks /best practices
16. Deep understanding of Scrum Agile methodology and experience working in a Scrum team

21. Proven planning and organization skills, creating work schedules, prioritizing workload, preparing in advance and setting realistic timescales
22. In-depth knowledge of Salesforce architecture and components.
23. Understanding of Salesforce security features.
24. Proficiency in Git for version control.
25. Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Salesforce DX).
26. Proficient scripting abilities in Python, Shell, or PowerShell
27. Proven expertise with automation frameworks
28. Familiarity with SAST and DAST tools for Salesforce.
29. Knowledge of Salesforce Shield and Event Monitoring.
30. Understanding of Docker for containerization.
31. Familiarity with Kubernetes for streamlined orchestration.
32. Proficiency in Terraform or CloudFormation for efficient infrastructure management
33. Knowledge of security compliance frameworks (OWASP, NIST).
34. Familiarity with ELK stack, Splunk, or analogous tools for effective logging and monitoring
35. Understanding of integrating security into the development lifecycle.
36. Knowledgeable in static analysis, dynamic analysis, and penetration testing methodologies.
37. Familiarity with secure coding practices.
