We are looking for a Software Engineer (React Native) to help us deliver delightful, engaging mobile experiences for our student and renter audience. This role goes beyond building apps — it’s about creating a mobile journey that grows in value the longer a user stays with us, from their first rental through to shared living and beyond.
Responsibilities
* Build apps that feel smooth, reliable, and engaging.
* Enable A/B testing and experimentation to iterate quickly and optimise user experience.
* Establish CI/CD pipelines tailored to mobile applications, ensuring faster delivery with confidence.
* Incorporate analytics, marketing, and engagement features that drive retention and growth.

Key Responsibilities (Detailed)
* Design and build React Native applications with offline‑first capabilities and GraphQL integration.
* Implement A/B testing frameworks to drive data‑informed improvements.
* Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for mobile (build, test, deploy to app stores).
* Collaborate with product and design to create delightful, user‑focused experiences.
* Build end‑to‑end test automation using Detox or Maestro.
* Incorporate deep‑linking, push notifications, marketing SDKs, and analytics into mobile apps.
* Document best practices and support iterative development cycles.
Essential Skills and Experience (Qualifications)
* Proven track record of delivering React Native mobile applications into production.
* Strong focus on building engaging and delightful user experiences with strong attention to detail.
* Experience with iterative development and experimentation (A/B testing, feature flags, rapid releases).
* Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile (e.g. Fastlane, App Center, Bitrise, or equivalent).
* Knowledge of offline‑first architecture and GraphQL integrations.
* Familiarity with Detox or Maestro for automated mobile testing.
* Strong collaboration skills across product, design, and fullstack teams.
Desirable Skills
* Experience developing or integrating native plugins (iOS/Android) within React Native.
* Familiarity with app store deployment, release management, and OTA (over‑the‑air) updates.
* Background in growth and engagement analytics (Firebase, Segment, Amplitude, etc.).
* Understanding of modular architecture patterns for mobile apps.
* Strong documentation and communication skills to help define and share mobile strategy.
