Overview
Lecturer in Fashion Styling, Production and Digital Practice - University of the Arts London (UAL). This is a permanent, part-time position (29.6 hours per week) based at LCF - East Bank Stratford, London UK. The opportunity is to deliver teaching, curriculum development, and on-going scholarship on the Fashion Styling and Production course, with an emphasis on the digital dimensions of the discipline.
Responsibilities
* Deliver teaching, curriculum development, and scholarship on the Fashion Styling and Production course.
* Collaborate within a course team and apply specialist expertise in styling and production, focusing on digital platforms, emerging technologies, apps, and online social networks.
* Inspire students by bringing to life both the technical and theoretical aspects of the field and drive pedagogy that responds to the fast-moving digital landscape.
* Through research-led enquiry and engagement with emerging digital production processes, inspire the next generation of creative storytellers with energy, vision, and commitment. Ensure practice considers ethics, diversity, and sustainability for digitally informed, creative solutions.
About you / Qualifications
* Professional industry practitioner with a relevant degree and demonstrated creative success and specialist knowledge in fashion styling and creative production, with a strength in digital platforms, tools, and emerging technologies.
* Confident working across multi-faceted disciplines, bringing expertise in how digital and physical practices intersect within fashion media.
* Forward-thinking and visionary, with an understanding of changing industry demands and a contemporary approach to image-making in the digital landscape of fashion styling and production.
* A portfolio showing evidence of digitally driven, innovative approaches and questioning the status quo; capable of inspiring the next generation of digital fashion storytellers.
* A relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous; industry experience is essential. Experience in higher education is also required.
