DJJ Healthcare is a specialist care provider offering floating support in the community and short breaks for young people with autism, learning disabilities, and other complex needs. Our goal is to deliver high-quality, person-centred support that helps families feel confident, and young people feel safe, understood, and supported in their daily lives.
We operate a dedicated short break centre, Free 2 Be You, which provides meaningful respite for families while offering positive, engaging experiences for the young people who stay with us.
About the Role
We are currently looking for a skilled and proactive Team Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of our floating support and short break services. This is a key leadership role where you'll be responsible for managing packages of care from start to finish — ensuring high standards, safeguarding, and consistency throughout.
You'll coordinate support teams, manage rotas using RotaCloud, write care plans and risk assessments based on your assessments, and maintain strong relationships with families and professionals. You'll be the link between the young person, their family, staff, and external services, ensuring everyone is working together effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee individual care packages for young people receiving community support or short breaks
* Carry out assessments and develop person-centred care and risk plans
* Use RotaCloud software to schedule consistent staff teams and shift patterns
* Lead on recruitment activity including interviews and onboarding for new team members
* Support staff performance through supervision, coaching, and ongoing training
* Maintain accurate care records using systems like LogMyCare
* Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and concerns are reported appropriately
* Liaise with external professionals including social workers, PBS teams, and clinical services
* Build strong, trusting relationships with families, advocating for the needs of each young person
* Ensure the service operates in full compliance with CQC regulations and company standards
* You will be responsible for being on-call one week out of every four, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 am.
What We're Looking For
* Experience managing care or support services for young people with additional needs
* Confident in carrying out assessments and producing care plans
* Working knowledge of safeguarding and CQC requirements
* Strong IT skills and experience using systems such as RotaCloud and LogMyCare (or similar)
* Leadership ability with a supportive, organised, and hands-on approach
* A calm, professional communicator who can build relationships with families and professionals
* Passion for improving the lives of young people and delivering excellent care

Job Type: Permanent
Pay: £29,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
