We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Oxfordshire, who are recruiting for a Scheme Manager on a temporary three-month contract. The position is due to start immediately, and the role is 30.00 hours Monday – Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm (with an hour’s lunch break).
The hourly rate of pay is up to £20.00 via an Umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have experience providing support to those aged 55+ within a scheme-based setting, have an Enhanced DBS dated within the last three years, and have access to their own vehicle.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Managing a sheltered scheme consisting of 38 flats, providing support to customers aged 55+
2. Completing regular welfare checks on residents
3. Responsible for monitoring the health and safety across the building
4. Updating wellbeing plans as required and ensuring they are tailored to individual customer needs
5. Completing pull-cord equipment checks
6. Arranging resident activities across the scheme and encouraging tenant participation (e.g coffee mornings)
7. Ensuring safeguarding is adhered to at all times
8. Signposting customers to external agencies – e.g Social Workers
9. Logging repairs and following these up with contractors
10. Completing regular property inspections and updating records accurately
Experience required:
11. Experience working with customers within a scheme-based setting
12. Exposure working in a supported/temporary accommodation
13. Experience in completing health and safety checks
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
14. Risk assessment and wellbeing plans
15. Able to work independently and as part of a team
16. Confident in liaising with external agencies such as social services
Working hours:
17. 30 hours per week
18. Monday – Friday, 9am-4pm (with an hour’s lunch break)
