WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:
* Carry out, but not limited to, the training of drivers both FTE & Agency including driving assessments, development indicators, license checks and highway code test
* Conduct induction, performing 2 day driver inductions for all new starters, assisting with performing inductions for other colleagues, i.e. Transport Admin
* Delivering Smith System Initial training to all LGV drivers and company car drivers
* Organising and booking of drivers CPC periodic training, delivering CPC modules and generating revenue where applicable
* Supporting TACHO infringements, reviewing and retraining drivers with regards to driver hours infringements
* Carrying out gatehouse & yard audits, responsible for performing 10% yard/gatehouse exit vehicle and driver checks
* Microlise training and admin, performing weekly conversations to action improvement areas
* Carrying out Delivery Safety Orders, prompting safety conversations and identifying training needs
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

* Minimum of 2 years Class 1 (C+E) driving experience is essential
* Operational & Transport experience with knowledge of Health and Safety within these environments
* Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
* Strong interpersonal, motivation and planning skills
* Able to work collaboratively with other DHL departments
* Excellent organisational skills
* Demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude towards others, behaving in an honest, open and trustworthy manner
