Job Description
Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials. This is to assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the key objectives outlined in the Education Service Plan and the Community Plan.
Requirements
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member regarding Regulated Work with either or both groups, or if already a member, to undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update, before a formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are continuously updated, and any relevant information disclosed will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position based at Grange Academy, Kilmarnock, until 26 June 2026. The hours are 27.5 per week, Monday to Friday, as directed by the line manager. The full-time salary ranges from £24,333 to £25,353 per annum, with the part-time, term-time salary between £16,398 and £17,085 per annum.
