Position Overview
We are seeking to appoint a Locum Consultant on a full‑time basis for a period of six months within the directorate of Trauma and Orthopaedics. The post primarily supports the trauma service while providing elective orthopaedic sessions.
Location
Sessions will be held at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital and Burnley General Teaching Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Assist and complement the team of established consultants and the multidisciplinary team within the directorate.
* Supervise and train junior medical staff and oversee the education of medical students attached to the department.
* Keep up to date with developments within the specialty.
Qualifications
* Fellowship trained in orthopaedics.
* Comfortable in all aspects of elective orthopaedics and trauma.
