This is an urgent temporary role for around 3-4 months with an immediate start. Commitment is essential. Based in Castleford, this is a full time position supporting the Payroll Manager with a range of payroll functions. You need previous experience in payroll for this role.
Job Profile:
You will support across multiple payrolls for large employee numbers (around 3000) whilst the firm transition the current payroll process. You will be involved with the full payroll cycle, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and delivering a seamless payroll experience. You will maintain accurate records and resolve any payroll-related queries.
Responsibilities:
Process monthly payroll for large volume staff numbers across multiple individual payroll runs
Maintain and update payroll records
Ensure compliance with HMRC and statutory requirements
Respond to employee payroll queries
Using Sage 50
Inputting data
Recognising any errors and flagging to relevant staff etc
Requirements:
Experience in payroll role essential
Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and best practices
Proficiency in payroll software Sage 50
Helpful if processed payroll with high volume staff numbers but not essential
High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
Good communication skills
Must be able to give commitment for 3 to 4 months
Hours: 8am to 5pm 1 hour lunch (but can consider 7.30am to 4.30pm)
Salary: Dependent on experience £13.50 to £16.00 ph
